For those of you who did not attend the special meeting last night, I am posting this as an update. There were a number of Board members who came out strongly against the current plan. There was a vote taken to more severely restrict the spectator policy and that vote did not pass, however, I have been notified by Sherry Sousa that because there were several Board members opposed to her reasonable plan- that she will be meeting with Jack Boymer and Garon Smail and others today to reconsider. I would encourage, in fact implore, each of you to please write immediately and ask Sherry to stay with the plan as originally proposed. We are the only school in our league who will not allow spectators if the plan is changed, and in my mind that is unfair to our students, and it does not follow any logical epidemiological principles. If our students and parents and fans are going to games with spectator programs in place for away games, they are coming back into our schools having been exposed, just as they are during home games. Please email Ms. Sousa and the administration and ask them to stick with the plan that they already put in place for the Girl's game on Saturday. Thanks.
